Food * Fire * Glory

Once Tim Byres, Chef and Owner, made the commitment to open SMOKE in Dallas, he spent three months traveling through the Deep South talking to people about cooking authentically over wood. Upon his return to Dallas, he was determined to make food that conjures up memories of American heritage, food with soul, nostalgic integrity, the spirit of hospitality, celebrating community and creating lasting flavors that linger.

Food Republic says, "Tim Bryes is a card-carrying Grilled God."

Southern Living says, "In the South, it's not unusual for a party to begin with a very large pot and a wood fire... The fragrant pot and tumble of ingredients beckon us outside around the table... It's a juicy, loud, messy, and delicious seasonal pleasure...Tim  Byres, one of the smartest young chefs around, gets it. His restaurants, SMOKE and Chicken Scratch, are devoted to cooking over fire, from scratch food, and community. We love the funky, rustic age he's brought to shiny Dallas."

"Deep in the Heart of Tex-Mex"

Chuy's was founded back in 1982 by Mike Young and John Zapp. They had a vision of a fun and funky Tex-Mex restaurant that would serve authentic and fresh food in an atmosphere that appeals to everyone.

When they started decorating the restaurant they made some interesting decisions due to the lack of money and creativity of their "designer." Their Chuy's touches like the hand-carved wooden fish "swimming" from the ceiling, hubcaps hanging bright and shiny above your booth and the Elvis shrine started with Mike and John who are still alive today! Today they still like the keep a few of these original eclectic touches in each of their restaurants.

Their menu is made up of a combination of flavors with recipes and ingredients from across New Mexico, Mexican border towns, the Rio Grande Valley, deep South Texas, Austin and beyond!
Mike and John wanted to bring FRESH to Tex-Mex and that's exactly what they did!

What makes Chuy's different is that they hand make fresh tortillas daily in each restaurant and that everything is fresh, never frozen!

If you want to have “healthy food that tastes like it’s bad for you”, then Righteous Food is the right place to go.

Here are some reviews customers gave on yelp:

“Righteous is one of my favorite restaurants in Fort Worth!  The atmosphere is clean in a way that makes you feel like your in southern California...In Fort Worth, a restaurant that serves clean and delicious food is hard to come by.  And Righteous is just that!”

“Delicious! Loved the parsnip fries.  It's nice to be able to eat out and feel good about what you're eating.”

“Finally walked down to check this place out-not sure what to expect.  From the other Yelp reviews, I thought it was more of an order at the counter then eat sort of place.  It's not-it's actually a very bright and airy sit down place with friendly service.
I ordered the "Paleontology" breakfast.  It has zucchini, sweet potato, eggs and bacon, avocado and pistachios.  Delish!  I also ordered a half size acai bowl to go, mainly because that's what I went there to try in the first place.  Super fresh and quite tasty!
I will be back to try more of their menu for sure.  This is definitely a place I will take my out of town guests to for brunch.”
