Stop on in at Freddy's!

Yesterday was my husbands birthday and we decided to try Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers because we've had a few friends talk about how good it is.

The restaurants was named after Freddy Simon, a 91-year-old World War II veteran. The restaurant decor reflects the post-war of pride, optimism and values of his family. On the walls you will find black and white photos of him and his family. It's a very nice set up and we enjoyed eating here!

My husband ordered the #6 Double Steakburger California Style. It came with two steakburger patties, cheese, full slice of onion, Freddy's sauce, lettuce & tomato with a side of fries and a drink.

And I ordered the Freddy's Original Double. Two steakburger patties, cheese, mustard, onion & pickles with fries.

Their steakburger patties are more flat at this restaurant but I liked it for a change. My husband likes big hamburger patties so he wasn't crazy about how flat they were but we both agreed that we would go there again in the future.

We both really loved their Freddy's sauce. It's like a fry sauce and oh so delicious! I loved dipping my fries in it and so did my husband. Also their fries are shoestrings so they are thinner but really good!

For dessert we shared the Dirt n' Worms Concrete. It sounds interesting but it was so good because we are huge cookies n' cream lovers! It is a vanilla custard with Oreo cookies, Gummy Worms, whipped cream & a cherry. It was really good!!

Our total bill was about $16 and we were very satisfied with the service, food, and environment.
Freddy's serves a variety of combo's, sandwiches, hot dogs, frozen custards, kids meals and sides that you must try on a date with your spouse!

There are 5 locations with another coming soon in the DFW area.

Relationship tip: on this date ask questions like “What subject do you find interesting now that you hated in high school? Why do you like it now, and why did you not like it then? How would you have taught it differently." and "Who was your favorite teacher in school and why?"

Asking each other questions like these will create a fun conversation and you could learn something new about your spouse.
