The Sixth Floor Museum


This next Dallas date location is the Sixth Floor Museum. It is a historical and cultural experience. This location is open on Mondays from noon to 6pm and Tuesday through Sunday 10am to 6pm. This museum is where according to FBI investigators where Lee Harvey Oswald shot President Kennedy. It is founded by the Dallas County Historical Foundation. It has permanent exhibits celebrating the life of President John F. Kennedy.
Admission is $16 dollars an adult with special discounts for seniors. There is a cafĂ© and a gift shop at the museum as well. The gift shop has many items celebrating the 1960’s and President Kennedy. There are audio tours available and the average tour takes about 90 minutes. There is an ASL guide for the hearing impaired.


The museum also has public programs that center around John F. Kennedy’s presidency and assassination, as well as special topics from the 1960s like Civil Rights.
