Nestled in amongst the skyscrapers of downtown Dallas, the Market is host to a huge food hall and artisanal food vendor market. With an exciting array of food, there is no chance of leaving this market with an empty stomach. From Mexican, to seafood, to Italian, to Vietnamese, to Caribbean, to Cajun, there is no end to delicious food to try. One of my favorite things to do with my husband is go to interesting food vendors to try lots of new food!

Right near the Market, you will find The Shed where you can get fresh produce, eggs, honey, bread and meat from local farmers and vendors. Because doing the weekly grocery shop is not the most romantic date, you could consider going to the market to get fresh produce to bring home and cook a romantic dinner together. Fresh tomatoes would make the most delicious spaghetti bolognese!

Food is not the only thing you will find at the Dallas Farmers Market. It is also home to a variety of vendors that sell things such as candles, home decor, vintage items, photography, and artwork. Great for a shopping date!

Still haven’t captured your interest? Not only does the market provide delicious fresh produce, exotic food and exciting shops, there are constantly events happening at this exciting scene. One such event that is happening now is a free six-week fitness series. You and your spouse could attend as many of these as you want, they include yoga and pilates. Another event that would make any date great would be the live music at the Market.

The market is open 7 days a week from 10 AM to 6 PM, but on Fridays it remains open until 8 PM, so you could make it a day date or an evening date! (*The Shed is open Fridays, 10am-3pm; Saturdays, 9am-5pm; and Sundays, 10am-5pm)
